(Seoul=Yonhap Infomax) Dong Il Joo – The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) has established a joint task force (TF) with Korea Land & Housing Corp. (LH) to expedite housing supply, particularly in urban areas.

On the 20th in Yongsan, the ministry announced the launch of the joint housing supply TF and the LH Special Housing Supply Promotion Headquarters, holding an official plaque unveiling ceremony.

The joint TF was formed under the special directive of Minister Kim Yoon-deok as a follow-up to the September 7 policy measures, aiming to strengthen cooperation between MOLIT and LH and enhance on-site support.

The TF will see supply teams from both organizations working together in a single office.

Given the complex interests involved in urban housing supply—such as local residents and landowners—the TF is tasked with streamlining decision-making, improving on-site responsiveness, and systematically managing supply in city centers by monitoring and resolving issues in real time.

Specifically, the TF will oversee all stages from site identification to project completion. It plans to supply housing in high-demand urban locations and shorten delivery timelines to better meet end-user demand.

A “Fast-Track Permit Support Center” has also been established within the TF office to facilitate prompt private-sector supply.

The center will provide authoritative interpretations of ambiguous or inconsistently applied local government regulations—identified as a key cause of permit delays—and, when necessary, directly mediate between agencies to prevent unnecessary project hold-ups.
