(Seoul=Yonhap Infomax) Yun Gu Lee – Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co., South Korea's leading non-life insurer, announced on the 24th that it has launched a new 'Foreign Language Insurance Claims Service'.
The new service enables policyholders to file insurance claims in English and Chinese via both the company's main website and its mobile application.
According to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's recent analysis of digital service usage among foreign customers, the most frequently used features were insurance claims (58.3%), premium payments (14.0%), and certificate issuance (9.5%). The majority of users preferred Chinese (68.6%) and English (8.4%) language options.
During the development phase, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance conducted usability tests with English- and Chinese-speaking users to validate and refine the interface layout, guidance items, and input procedures.
A company official stated, "With the introduction of this foreign language service, foreign customers can now access insurance services more accurately and conveniently. We plan to further expand the range of supported languages and service coverage to continuously enhance service quality for our global clientele."
