(Seoul=Yonhap Infomax) Jung Woo Choi = KT Corp. (KRX: 030200), a leading South Korean telecommunications company, has opened a dedicated AI education facility, the 'AI Campus,' at its Pangyo office to keep pace with the rapid transformation of the industrial sector driven by AI Experience (AX).
According to industry sources on the 25th, KT has established a specialized training center and a systematic AI curriculum under its 'AI Talent Development Initiative' aimed at strengthening AI capabilities.
The 'AI Campus' spans approximately 1,320 square meters and features six large classrooms and two remote lecture studios, providing a hybrid learning environment.
The curriculum comprises three main tracks: AI Literacy, Gen AI Utilization, and Gen AI Workshop courses.
The 'AI Literacy' course is designed to equip participants with essential foundational skills, including a basic understanding of generative AI, prompt engineering concepts, hands-on content creation, and ethical AI usage. The program enables even those unfamiliar with AI to grasp core concepts and apply them to real-world tasks.
The 'Gen AI Utilization' course offers practical, scenario-based training focused on prompt engineering, information retrieval and collection, data analysis, document and content productivity enhancement, and workflow automation.
Participants can further deepen their expertise through Gen AI workshops, which cover AI agent applications and 'vibe coding'—a collaborative development method where natural language prompts are used to generate code via large language models (LLMs), allowing developers to refine outputs through testing and feedback without manual coding. The workshops also enable learners to build their own web services for AI-powered automation.
As a Ministry of Employment and Labor-designated leading company for SME employee-led training, KT offers up to 90% tuition reimbursement for employees of eligible priority support companies who enroll in these courses.
KT plans to operate the AI Campus year-round through 2026 to foster practical AI talent for the industrial field and will expand online offerings to improve accessibility nationwide.
