(Seoul=Yonhap Infomax) Hak Seong Kim = Samsung SDS Co., the IT services arm of Samsung Group, announced on the 25th the promotion of 2 vice presidents and 8 executive directors in its annual executive reshuffle, totaling 10 appointments.
Jung Wook Kim, head of the Strategy & Marketing Division’s Consulting Team, and Tae Hee Lee, head of the AI Research Team at the company’s R&D Center, were promoted to vice president.
The number of executives promoted decreased by two compared to last year’s 12.
Samsung SDS stated that the reshuffle aims to accelerate generational change by appointing talent whose capabilities and performance have been thoroughly verified.
The company emphasized that it has broadly appointed leaders who have driven future growth engines such as AI platform and agent-based businesses, as well as cloud services.
Two women were among those promoted.
Samsung SDS highlighted that, with this round of appointments, it will accelerate the expansion of its enterprise AI transformation (AX) business and strengthen its technology leadership.
